Wednesdays are for Loving!

 

Hello Everyone! :) it's Wednesday sooo here we go!

Today I am loving so many things! 

-First of all, I finished two of my classes today! We've still got five weeks left in the semester so having two (almost 3!) of my six classes done feels great!

I'm loving- hats! I don't usually wear hats other than in winter so it's always fun to experiment when it gets colder!

I love love love the fall weather! Today was beautiful and I'm not ready for fall to be over yet.

I'm loving that I finally got time to hang some stuff up on my walls! I love decorating and my bare walls were driving me crazy!

I love this sign I found! It says "Live by the sun, Love by the Moon."

I'm loving my wonderful boyfriend! Wednesdays are always fun for us because we go out to eat at our favorite bar and play keno. We normally lose more than we make, BUT last night we got lucky on a scratch ticket and won $50, so that paid for this weeks adventure!

Lastly, I'm loving blogging! It's so much fun reading what all of you have to say every day. I took a break a few months ago when I just got started but I've gotten back into it lately! Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to comment and follow it is SOO appreciated!

So, today I have a wonderful story to share with all of you! To get the humor in this story, we have to start a few days ago.

A couple days ago, my dad called me and wanted to know how my car was running and if it would need anything for winter. I had just had my entire coolant housing thing (i'm no mechanic, so i've only got a vague idea about what that is) replaced. So I thought everything would be okay. He asked about antifreeze, tires, you know, the works. And I told him everything was fine. Then, when I went to help my friend out a few hours away, I packed up my stuff and made sure I grabbed a blanket, coats, and extra gloves just in case. And am I glad I did! On my way home this morning I blew a tire while driving 80 down the interstate! It was really pretty scary. So, I pulled over at a close exit, got into my trunk to get out my spare tire and jack. I was thinking, Thank God I know how to change a tire!.... and thats when I realized....no tire iron. I was about an hour and a half away from home and I had to work this afternoon.

So I called my mom, and just as she was going to send one of my brothers to help me, two guys stopped and helped me! I was so happy. I was on a fairly busy road, and they were the only ones to stop (which is understandable, you never know these days.)
So I called up my dad to tell him my ironic story of how my tire blew out only a few days after he told me to check them. :) Everything is okay, Thanks to a lot of help from my dad i've got some new tires and my car really is ready for winter (tire iron included).

Anyway,I thought since the theme this month is to give thanks, I would mention how thankful I am that those boys stopped and helped me. Without them I would have been stranded for quite a while. It's very comforting to know that there are still people out there who are willing to help. I am so grateful for that. And even though it was kind of a rough day at first, it all ended up okay!

I'm so thankful that:
-Today is Sunday, which is when my "college family" all comes over and we cook and watch movies. My "college family" is made up of many of my best friends. They are literally like family to me. I love them. We've been getting together almost every Sunday since last year. A few have moved away since them but we still consider them part of our family! Here are a few pictures of a few our Sundays.

-I have a wonderful family (my real, biological family). They are always there for me whenever I need them. Even though they sometimes pick on me from time to time, I don't mind. They keep life interesting and I wouldn't change any of them for the world. I can't wait for Thanksgiving dinner when we all can get together and catch up! :)

-The beautiful weather. Today was a gorgeous fall day without much wind and it was fairly warm. I love fall -and I think a few more days like this would be wonderful before winter started.

-That I got time to relax today. I worked a lot this past week with work and school so having a day off of everything was amazing. I didn't have to do anything important which is always a wonderful feeling. I spent the day listening to music, hanging out with my boyfriend and room mate, and making cupcakes. It was a perfect day.

-My love. He is a wonderful boyfriend and I'm a lucky girl to have him. He had to work tonight so he missed family night, but we edited him into a picture so he wouldn't feel left out.

-My life. I'm a very lucky girl, I have a job, a comfortable home, and wonderful friends and family. I'm blessed and I am very happy to have the opportunity to take this time to share all the things that I am thankful for!
